Private Chas F Walker

Private Charles F. Walker was born on June 13, 1874 in Collins County Iowa.  His parent’s names were John T. Walker (1828-1899) and Lovina F. Williamson Walker (1839-1894). During his childhood he lived in a little town called Middlebranch, Holt Country, Nebraska. Charles had 12 siblings in the house while he was a kid.

            Walker served with the U.S. Army in France during the war.  He was in the 167th Regiment of the 42nd Division.  Charles F. Walker died during action in France on July 26, 1918, just south of the cemetery where he was buried.  He rests in the Oise-Aisne American Cemetery in Picardie, France.
